2015 a beast of a highlights blog.
So firstly grab yourself a cup of tea as this is massive. I have always struggled with narrowing down my favourite images and this blog is absolutely no different. I have no idea how many wedding photos are in this but well its probably overwhelming. Which is how I would describe this incredible year. I have been overwhelmed with beautiful brides, stunning dresses and details, some sharp looking grooms, superb venues and some incredible and emotional moments.
I have met a guitarist who played with led zeppelin, driven a golf buggy, drove on the motorway to a wedding one day after passing my test, organised 20 group photos in 15mins (had the bossy boots on), eaten some superb food (thank you lovely venues), fallen over (a few times) cried at god knows how many ceremonies and speeches, photographed in All souls Church, been on a boat on the Thames and most importantly worked with some seriously in love couples.
The thing with being a wedding photographer is that you become a part of this special day, you spend 10-14hrs running on so much emotion trying to capture it all and hope that the feeling of the day comes across through your images. I made a massive change to my kit this year and completely moved over to prime lenses on two camera bodies (I need to see a back person before 2016 kicks off) the benefits of this have been more creativity, incomparable quality and turning into a camera ninja.
2015 couples I want to thank you. For welcoming me and trusting me with the incredible honour of capturing your day and creating images for you to take into your married lives and treasure. There is no greater job.
2016 I welcome you with excitement and anticipation for the year ahead, I have some wonderful couples booked in already and still a few spaces left so get in touch if you are getting married in 2016 and are short of a wedding photographer!
