A church & village hall wedding with an amazing boat party on the Thames!
Now this was an amazing wedding! Sarah & Paul had so much planned into their July wedding and my did they pull it off.
After Sarah got ready at her family home between Herne Hill and East Dulwich they had their ceremony in the magnificent St Barnabas Church. This church nestled between East Dulwich and Dulwich village is quite something. Beautiful light streams in through the windows and the space is vast with plenty of room for a wedding photographer like myself to get around but still be discreet. Their ceremony was beautiful and personal with some lovely readings followed by drinks and canapés outside in the summer sunshine.
The meal and speeches were held in the Village hall 2 minutes down the road. Sarah's family have a strong connection to this church and the community so it made perfect sense. The decorations were that of a wonderful summer village wedding and that was very much the atmosphere despite us being in South East London. I have been spoilt with wonderful speeches this summer and this was no exception. Sarah's dad, Paul, Sarah and Paul's brother as best man all gave heartfelt and entertaining speeches.
The next stage of their day started on one of the gorgeous old red London Bus's with a trip to one of the Thames piers to board the Golden Jubilee for several hours of seriously fun partying! I have honestly never seen so many guests up and dancing before at a wedding! Oh and the views of the city as the boat travelled down the Thames were incredible! i got some of my favourite ever sunset photos!
So here are the images….. Sarah & Paul thank you so much for having me photograph your special day!
