Why as a Wedding Photographer I cover the whole of the UK.

national wedding photographer in the UK

The first half of my 20s was dedicated to travel and exploration. My heart was in adventure and the unknown. I have a nomadic soul.

So applying that to my job as a wedding photographer is a natural born thing. People always say isn't it easier to work in one location, to build a client base in one location. Well it might be easier but that isn't how I want to live my life. Limited to one location.

And my couples reflect that part of me. I work for people who don't limit themselves who want to strive for awesome adventure and love and want to show that on their wedding day.

When I lived in Austria I had no money for my last 5 months, I was surviving on pennies and with no work I had to fill my days somehow. It was the summer and in the mountains the world is a beautiful place, so I explored it. In flip flops I would do hikes with climbs of up to 1800m, I walked miles, generally ignoring maps and following my own sense of where I wanted to go. Sometimes I got lost, sometimes my feet and calves killed me, sometimes I would be gone for hours.

It was all worth it for the incredible beauty, the immense overwhelming feeling of being so small in a such a wonderful place. I only wish I had had an interest in photography back then.

I work with lots of different types of people from all walks of life but ultimately they all have one thing in common. They break the mould. My couples have strong ideas about how they want their wedding to look and feel and where they want it to be.

I would be cheating myself out of working with incredible people if I limited myself to one location.

Yes I have venues I absolutely love returning too and would never decline a wedding at a venue I adored but I would get bored if all of my work was made up of going to the same places. I wouldn't be being challenged in my work.

As a creative the challenge is important, I thrive on uniqueness and adventure. I want to photograph epic elopements in the Scottish Highlands, amazing beach weddings on the Devon and Cornwall coasts, beautiful barn weddings in the Cotswolds and incredible urban get togethers in the cities of the UK.

I want to work with the most incredible funny, beautiful and adventurous couples. I want to travel the UK giving people the best of me and my work as I tell the stories of their wedding days. I want to retire one day knowing that there is families everywhere treasuring the beautiful memories I collected and curated for them.
