Where do I even start with a wedding like this.
Lets start with Kate, who as a bride was perfect. Her incredible Justin Alexander dress was one of those dresses that made your jaw drop.
Kate, her family and the bridesmaids all got married at the Lingfield Marriott Hotel with rooms looking over the racecourse. As well as her dress Kate's hair was a piece of art. Apart from a little trouble with the car ribbons the whole morning went smoothly and my favourite part was when Kate's dad saw her in her dress, I was told there would be no emotion at this point but there was and it was such a lovely moment to capture.
The ceremony was held in the Loggia at Hever Castle looking over the lake. Set in the Italian Gardens there this is a pretty special place for a ceremony. Mark looked great in his Tux and the clouds gave some drama to the setting. Open on all sides the place for the ceremony is so filled with light and beauty it was impossible to get a bad shot. I loved how when Kate arrived she walked through the gardens with her bridal party and then up the red carpet with her Dad to meet Mark at the Loggia. It was a beautiful, emotional and funny ceremony which are my favourite ones as they give me so much to work with.
After the ceremony we had a bit of a rush to fit in the groups and couple photos. Oh my god what a place for couple photos! Its almost overwhelming as there is just so much to use in the gardens and around the castle but because we had a bit of small time frame it was think on our feet and make some incredible images sharp, that may cause some to panic however Kate and Mark are so perfect together it was pretty easy. I could of easily of spent an hour with them round the gardens though!
It was then time to take a horse and carriage to The Hever Golf Club for the reception. If you are getting married at a castle and you have a dress like kate's the only way to travel is by horse and carriage! The golf club is lovely and perfectly set for a wedding reception with the meal downstairs overlooking their gardens and then the party upstairs!
Once again I was spoilt with funny and emotional speeches, an amazing first dance and some great party shots.
This wedding was beautiful, emotional and perfect to photograph and I am so happy that I get to work with couples as lovely as Kate and Mark. Thank you so much for having me as your wedding photographer. It was a joy to share in your amazing day and I hope you like this preview!
